Zlatan Ibrahimovic could have a good go at filling the Parc des Princes with all his suitors as he prepares to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract this summer - but he may yet surprise us all with his choice.

Months of speculation about the veteran striker's future has given Zlatan an array of options as far-flung as China and the MLS, but Zlatan has still managed to think up a novel alternative.

"Maybe I’ll just retire," he told TV4, a Swedish television network. "Nobody’s thought of that possibility.

"I would prefer to go out at the top. Anything could happen next summer.

"When all the cards are on the table, I’ll see which direction I want to take."

Arsenal and Manchester United have long been linked with the Sweden international, who has enjoyed a trophy-rich four seasons in Paris with 102 goals in 116 league games.

Even West Ham United are interested in Zlatan, with co-chairman David Sullivan making his admiration public.

With 27 goals in 25 Ligue 1 games so far this season, and Paris Saint Germain still well in the hunt for a first-ever Champions League triumph, it seems that Ibrahimovic still has a lot to offer the world of football.

However, if Zlatan truly does want to leave at the top of his game, a PSG treble of Ligue 1 title, Coupe de France  triumph and Champions League glory would definitely be the way to do it.
