Chilean striker Mauricio Pinilla gets a tattoo of the shot he hit off the crossbar against Brazil
You may recall that Chile very, very nearly beat Brazil the other day with Mauricio Pinilla hitting the crossbar in the very, very last few seconds of extra time; the difference between victory and a penalty shootout being only a few millimeters and a big piece of metal.
Pinilla was so inspired by his own inability to put the ball into the goal and the sadness that this caused an entire nation, that he decided to get a tattoo done of it.
Craftily using a screen-grab of the exact moment his power strike struck the outer part of Julio Cesar‘s goal, a tattoo man, as we shall call him, inked the iconic moment using tattoo equipment.
For some reason he also got ‘Blessed For Life‘ tattooed in English on his forehead and to accompany the non-goal picture, the phrase ‘One centimeter from glory‘.
