DEAN SAUNDERS last night revealed that Wolverhampton Wanderers had turned down a loan offer from Celtic for Ireland international Kevin Doyle.
After losing 2-1 to Leicester last night with Doyle as an unused substitute, Saunders confirmed that he would not allow the 29-year-old to leave the club for a move to Scotland.
Earlier, Celtic turned down a fourth offer for striker Gary Hooper from Norwich City. With talk of a potential fifth attempt by Canaries boss Chris Hughton to prise Hooper from Parkhead, Neil Lennon took to Twitter to clarify the situation.
He said: "Contrary to reports there have been no fresh bids for Gary (Hooper) and even if there are they will be rejected...he is NOT for sale."
Norwich did, however, land one forward, Luciano Becchio, from Leeds United.
