CRYSTAL Palace winger Wilfried Zaha could be set for a transfer to Manchester United after allegedly hinting on Twitter that he has already agreed a deal with the Premier League leaders.
The prodigious 20-year-old England international has been linked with a £12million move to Old Trafford this month with the Championship side expected to take the winger back on loan for the rest of the season to help with their promotion challenge.
Zaha reportedly wrote: "Looks like I'm on my way to the top of the premier league" on his Twitter account but has since deleted the post.
Zaha has denied posting the message: "I don't know [sic] remember tweeting no such thing so I don't know where the tweet came from #confused".
Arsenal were thought to be early favourites to sign Zaha, with chief scout Steve Rowley present at several of his games this season. Any move by Arsenal may hinge on the outcome of contract negotiations with Theo Walcott.
Zaha, who has four-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, impressed United during the south London club's 2-1 win at Old Trafford in the League Cup quarter-final 13 months ago.
Palace boss Ian Holloway admits he is playing a waiting game over Zaha’s future and admits he does not know whether the youngster will remain at Selhurst Park beyond January.
“We will wait to see what Wilfried, if he ever does, actually goes for and we can talk about that if and when it happens,” said Holloway.
