What a load of illegal rubbish

West Ham striker Frederic Piquionne has been fined £449 for illegal dumping after bags of rubbish found in a village near his home were traced back to him.

While Hammers supporters may accuse the striker of bringing his rubbish to Upton Park last season, this time the French forward could not evade the long arm of the law.

The 32-year-old admitted the charge of dumping 10 black bin liners, two recycling bags and a cardboard box. John Knapman of Epping Council commented on the outcome of the case, saying that "your waste is your responsibility".

Sam Allardyce may adopt the same philosophy this season if Piquionne's modest strike rate continues.
