Watford completed a remarkable comeback aided by hair-brained defending from West Ham as they scored four unanswered goals in a thrilling 4-2 Premier League victory.

Michail Antonio and Dimitri Payet combined to give the Hammers an apparently comfortable lead only for Walter Mazzarri's men to spring into action in an afternoon of high drama at London Stadium.

Odion Ighalo, Troy Deeney, Etienne Capoue and Jose Holebas were on target as the home defence fell apart and but for a little more accuracy in the final 10 minutes, Watford could have won by more.

TWEET OF THE MATCH

"At a wedding with loads of West Ham fans. I better not mention the football" - singer and former X Factor winner Steve Brookstein (@stevebrookstein).

STAR MAN

A host of players shone in a riveting afternoon at London Stadium, but skipper Troy Deeney was Watford's driving force throughout and he capped his display with an outstanding equaliser.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

Former England striker Chris Sutton pulled no punches when giving his view of Daryl Janmaat's comical back pass that struck Watford's left post. "It can only be described as the thickest back pass in football history by Daryl Janmaat," he said on BBC's Final Score.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MATCH

Undoubtedly Dimitri Payet's trickery down the right that created a second goal for Michail Antonio. The Frenchman jinked his way into space and then produced a stunning rabona cross to the far post.
