Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits that Transfer Deadline Day will be quiet from an Arsenal perspective and says any late purchases are highly unlikely.
The Gunners have again been linked with Borussia Dortmund's much-touted forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Andriy Yarmolenko is also a reported £25 target, but Wenger says he doesn't expect any players to arrive ahead of the 11pm deadline.
Asked whether Arsenal could make any more signings, the Frenchman replied: “99% no.”
The Frenchman added: “If Messi knocks on my door at 5.50pm I will not say ‘please go back to Barcelona’.”
On the whole transfer window, Wenger said: “The whole period was much quieter than I expected. The fact that we are all here means it is still quiet.
“If possible, I would have been open to one more but there is a rarity of players.”
