Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has categorically insisted his club will not sell Republic of Ireland striker Shane Long this month.
Long was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool last week, but Southampton have maintained throughout this transfer window that they will not consider selling any of their star names.
Now Koeman has made his strongest statement yet on Long's future, as he gave this response in his latest press conference.
"It is the same answer," stated Koeman. "We have brought one player in (Charlie Austin from QPR) and no player will go out.
"You know my answer. Nobody will go out. Maybe I have to repeat it 80 times more, but if you like it, I will do it."
Tottenham have also been linked with a move for Long, but Koeman's latest statement appears to end any speculation that he will sanction a move for the Irishman in this transfer window.
