Manchester City posted a video interview with Mangala on their website yesterday even though his £32million arrival from Porto is yet to be confirmed.

The video shows the French international defender arriving by private jet at Manchester Airport two weeks ago. He is then filmed being driven to his medical at the city’s Bridgewater Hospital, before being taken on a tour of the Blues' training ground. It has been reported this morning from The Mirror however, that the move is imminent.

The Mirror and The Sun have also claimed that Didier Drogba is set to make his return to Chelsea, with José Mourinho admitting that he wants to bring back the striker. Meanwhile, Petr Cech has said that he will not be a “bench warmer” for Chelsea if Thibaut Courtois takes his place this season.

Arsenal have offered  Iker Casillas, 33, a five-year deal worth £1.4m per year (Express). The Gunners have also revealed that World Cup winning trio, Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski will miss the start of the new Premier League season after being granted an extended break.

The Scottish champions want at least £10m for the centre-back, but the Saints are set to collect double that figure from the sale of their defender Dejan Lovren to Liverpool (The Daily Mirror). Daniel Osvaldo will become the latest player to leave the Saints, having agreed a deal to join Inter Milan (The Sun).

West Brom boss Alan Irvine has told the Daily Mirror that he has never seen new £10m striker, Brown Ideye before making him the record signing for the Baggies. Irvine has only ever watched Brown on DVD.

The Star suggests that Juventus midfielder, Arturo Vidal has ruled out a move to Man United, Liverpool were also interested in taking the midfielder.
