Manchester United are in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to reports in France.

Lavezzi, who is the final year of his contract at PSG, is wanted by Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool, but, we are informed, United have moved in.

Tribal Football insists Man United officials were in Paris on Friday to thrash out a deal with PSG and the figure is thought to be around €8m.

However, there may be a snag. It seems Lavezzi - who starred for Napoli before moving to Paris - wants to return to Italy and sign for a Serie A club.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are ready to break the British transfer record to sign Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, suggests The Sun.

The Colombian has made just seven league starts so far this season and, we are told, the 24-year-old is now set on a move away.

United currently hold the British transfer record after paying Real close to €80m to land flop Angel di Maria. And The Sun believes they will have to top that to land the 'global star'.

Arsenal are set to make the most of Real Madrid's transfer ban by singing Alvaro Morata from Juventus.

Arsene Wenger apparently tried to sign the striker from the Bernabeu in the summer of 2014 but he opted to move to Juve instead in a deal worth £16m - so the Gunners bagged Danny Welbeck from Manchester United.

According to The Sun, Madrid included a buy-back clause in the deal that saw Morata move to Turin. We are told the terms of the clause meant Real could have re-signed the striker for €34m, but Zinedine Zidane's side have now been hit with transfer ban that prevents them signing anyone, freeing the Gunners up for an attack on the frontman.

And reports in Italy suggest Morata would consider leaving as he is no longer the main man at Juve, with summer signing Paulo Dybala comfortably outscoring him in Serie A.
