Man United 'in talks' with Liverpool target Franco Vazquez

Manchester United are in contact with Palermo over Italian international Franco Vazquez and could beat rivals Liverpool to his signature according to The Express.
The attacking midfielder, who made his international debut for Italy last year against England, has scored three goals and provided five assists so far this season in Serie A, would bring badly needed creativity to a blunt United attack
The Sun also reports that United manager Louis van Gaal is keen to add Vazquez to his ranks, with the likes of Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera under-performing in the attacking midfield role.
His former coach Davide Ballardini admitted earlier this week Vazquez is capable of playing in the Premier League.
He told Italian outlet Mediaset Premium: ”Vazquez? He is ready for a big team, with his quality [he] deserves a big European club like Liverpool or Manchester United.”
A late swoop for Maquinhos is also on the cards, according to The Sun.
The Paris Saint-Germain centre-half has spent a lot of time on the sidelines this season, watching on as David Luiz and Thiago Silva swat opponents away in Ligue 1.
Barcelona are also monitoring the player’s situation but United apparently remain in pole position.
