Man United closing in on €47m Brazilian star - reports
Man Utd are closing in on the £35m signing of Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson.
According to The Sun, United chiefs have flown to Rome to hammer out a deal for the Brazil international.
However, The Sun insists Anderson's arrival is not confirmation that Louis van Gaal will stay on as United boss and questions whether the player is in fact an LVG man.
The deal, we are told, is 'well down the road' and Anderson could even finalise his move to Old Trafford over the next week. As such, the paper adds that 'one or two players could be on their way out if Anderson signs' and his arrival would put Wayne Rooney's place in the side in even greater doubt.
Southampton's Sadio Mane would provide an alternative option to Anderson, reveals The Daily Mail - and one with proven Premier League pedigree - but Ronald Koeman plans to reject any advances for the 23-year-old.
Meanwhile, on the subject of Van Gaal, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is learning English as he prepares for one of the Premier League's top jobs, with The Daily Mirror linking him with the United and Chelsea posts. The Italian has just 18 months left on his contract in Turin.
