Liverpool look to be scuppered in their attempts to sign Lucas Digne, with Roma closing in on a season-long loan deal.
The PSG left-back is keen to leave the French giants after falling down the pecking order and Liverpool were said to be front-runners to land the 22-year-old.
However, the Express says that PSG want £10.5m for Digne or are willing to listen to loan offers for the full-back.
Roma have also been interested in signing Barcelona's Adriano, and are likely to turn their attentions to Digne if that move falls through.
Liverpool were interested in signing the defender and said to be lining up an offer for the player who was touted as a replacement for Alberto Moreno or Jose Enrique.
Digne, who joined PSG from Lille two seasons ago, only made 15 appearances for the French giants during the last campaign.
He has made eight appearances for France. Digne would become Liverpool's 10th signing this summer if they capture their target.Digne
Liverpool are continuing their pursuit of Barcelona youngster Adama Traore, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The teenager is on the fringes of Luis Enrique's first-team squad but has been linked with moves to either Anfield or Southampton this summer.
Reports have suggested that Barca need to trim their 'B' team squad ahead of the new season, with Traore one of the players they are considering selling.
The 19-year-old made his La Liga debut in November 2013 and scored his first Barca goal last December during their 8-1 thrashing of SD Huesca in the Copa del Rey.
Finally, Liverpool's rivals Manchester United may prevent the club from selling Mario Balotelli.
The off-colour striker has been linked with a cut-price move back to Italy with Lazio joining the race for the 24-year-old.
The Mirror says Lazio want to sign Balotelli on loan next season - but only if they qualify for the Champions League proper.
Lazio could come up against United in their Champions League play-off, meaning a United victory would end Lazio's interest in the Italy international.
The Italians have also been considering making Balotelli's move a permanent one for £12.5m if he was to join on loan.
