'I really hope Seamus Coleman joins Manchester United' - Paul McGrath endorses move
Former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland defender Paul McGrath believes Seamus Coleman has got what it takes to succeed at Old Trafford.
United and their manager Louis van Gaal are admirers of the Donegal right-back and specualtion has been rife that they are preparing a bid of £15m for the Everton star.
United have tried in vain to sign Coleman's Everton team mate Leighton Baines but having missed out on Dani Alves, have turned their attention to Coleman.
The belief is that Coleman's marauding style could complement the skills of their new Dutch winger Memphis Depay.
One man who is keen to see a deal being struck is Paul McGrath.
McGrath told the Alan Brazil Breakfast Show on TalkSport: "I definitely think he would be a good fit for Manchester United.
“He has got every attribute a right-back wants. He works so hard, he is a good defender, and he has got an engine like no other.
“I think he would be great for Manchester United and I really hope that is one of the deals that goes through."
