Irish international and former Celtic defender Darren O’Dea has joined Scottish Premiership side Dundee until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old  was playing for Mumbai City, managed by Nicolas Naelka,  in the Indian Super League, but has decided to move to Scotland.

The 20-cap international has previously played for Toronto FC and Metalurh Donetsk in Ukraine, where his contract was cut short due to rising tensions in the country last year, and made 20 appearances for Blackpol in the Championship last season.

"Delighted to say I've signed with @dundeefconline . A great club with a fantastic support that I'm proud to now be part of," he posted on his Twitter account.

O'Dea's last international appearance was against Wales in 2013.
