Arsene Wenger to consider £68m Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain
Another day, another outlandish rumour and today's standout line involves a former Real Madrid forward.
That's right folks, if we are to believe what Calciomercato, the Italian website, has reported then Gonzalo Higuaín is ready to quit Naples for north London.
Higuaín, the Napoli and Argentina forward, has been linked with a move to Arsenal and is said to be ready to make the switch next summer.
The Argentina international, though, will cost manager Arsène Wenger almost £70 million after his Serie A club inserted a £67.7m release clause in his current contract.
Higuaín has scored nine goals in 12 outings this season, but is understood to be keen on a move the the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, the north Londoners have been alerted to the fact that Isco, the Real Madrid midfielder, is understood to have put in a transfer request as he id keen on "a change of scenery".
The 23 year-old, according to Spanish website Fichajes, is keen on a move away from the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, despite playing regularly under manager Rafael Benítez.
The report adds that Chelsea are also interested in signing the former Málaga and Valencia player.
Grzegorz Krychowiak, the Sevilla midfielder, is another player to be linked with a move Arsenal by Fichajes.
The 26 year-old scored in Poland's 2-1 defeat of Republic of Ireland in the European Championship qualifiers earlier this month and has a contract with La Liga club until summer 2018.
