Arsenal eye move for Manchester United winger Angel di Maria
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Manchester United winger Angel di Maria, with Arsene Wenger having tried to land the Argentina international on two previous occasions.
The Daily Mail reports that Di Maria's future is unclear at Old Trafford, after a difficult first season, following his £59.7 million switch from Real Madrid.
United would, understandably, be reluctant to sell to a rival such as Arsenal, while his reported £280,000-per-week wage is beyond the Gunners.
Nevertheless, The Mail insists that, if Di Maria is obtainable, the Gunners would be interested 'provided a deal fits into their financial framework'.
The Metro has also jumped on this rumour adding Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain are also in the running.
Meanwhile, the Gunners face a battle with Aston Villa to sign Nice left-back Jordan Amavi.
This is also according to The Mail, which claims the 21 year-old has been a target for Arsenal in recent months and is valued at £9 million by his club. Villa, though, have made an offer and further talks are expected on Wednesday.
Carl Jenkinson is in line for an improved contract, despite heading out on loan this summer, says The Mirror.
The Gunners will offer the defender a new contract, which will include an increase on his current £35,000-per-week wages.
West Ham are leading the race to take the former Charlton man on a second consecutive season-long loan spell ahead of next season.
Bastia are showing an interest in Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini, who could leave the club on a free transfer this summer despite still being under contract at the Emirates.
The Mail reports how 31-year-old Flamini has slipped down the pecking order at Arsenal, with their array of midfielders, and is keen to weigh up options ahead of making a decision on his future.
Arsenal forward Joel Campbell is close to joining Besiktas after agreeing terms with the Turkish club, reveals The Metro.
Campbell is surplus to requirements at the Emirates and he finished last season on-loan at Villarreal, where he again struggled.
However, it seems as though Besiktas have taken a punt on him and reports say a deal is close.
It is understood that Arsenal have accepted a £3.5 million bid and Campbell has agreed personal terms.
And finally, Everton have made a £5 million bid to sign goalkeeper David Ospina from Arsenal, according to reports in Colombia.
The in-form keeper has been given permission to leave Arsenal this summer following the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea.
Turkish side Fenerbache have been in talks over a deal, but Ospina is believed to be keen on staying in England, and now reports in Colombia say Everton have made an offer.
Roberto Martinez apparently sees Ospina as a long-term replacement for 36-year-old Tim Howard, who is approaching the end of his career.
