Fiorentina have today confirmed the loan signing of Manchester United midfielder until the end of the season.

The Italian Serie A club welcomed the 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder to Florence on Thursday and underwent a medical yesterday afternoon.

Anderson, who has spent six-and-a-half seasons with the Barclays Premier League champions after joining from Porto, has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford under manager David Moyes and has only completed a full 90 minutes on 19 occasions.

The 25 year-old has made eight appearances for Brazil, winning the Copa America in 2007 and an Olympic Bronze Medal at Beijng 2008.
