£30m price tag on Lukaku, Hummels and Vermaelen linked with United: Today's transfer gossip

The Daily Mirror are claiming that Chelsea have placed a £30million price tag on Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker spent last season on loan at Everton, who are reportedly prepared to offer an initial £21million. Bundesliga club Wolfsburg and Italian side Juventus are also reportedly interested.
Manchester United have lost experience in defence with Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic leaving the club and new manager Louis Van Gaal has admitted that he is looking for defenders. Borussia Dortmund centre-half Mats Hummels and Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen are among the players to have been linked with a move to Old Trafford. (Sky Sports News)
The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Napoli are continuing to work on a deal to snap up Manchester United flop Marouane Fellaini. Napoli have opened negotiations with United and would like to sign Fellaini on loan with a view to a permanent deal, while the Premier League club would reportedly favour to sell the Belgium international now. QPR boss Harry Redknapp says he isn’t ruling out a future for Adel Taarabt. The forward spent last season on loan at AC Milan and was hoping to secure a permanent move to the Italian side after some impressive displays, however with no reported bids for the Moroccan, Redknapp has admitted that he may remain a QPR player, and that he may feature if he works hard in training.
