Terry may face Villans

John Terry is hoping to declare himself fit for Chelsea to face Aston Villa tomorrow, but there is concern Frank Lampard will miss the game as he continues his recovery from a groin operation.
Lampard had been expected to return on September 11 last against West Ham, having undergone surgery. If he does not make the Villa match he will have missed nine games more than expected.
Terry took part in light training yesterday having withdrawn from England's Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro due to injury.
If Chelsea have an otherwise clean bill of health in defence, however, it is unlikely that Ancelotti would risk his captain, especially with the Champions League tie at Spartak Moscow next week.
Ancelotti has told Terry he has to be more honest with him over injuries. However, with Alex suffering from a thigh problem, Terry could be pressed into service. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
