Team's luxury spa hotel is summer hotspot for wealthy local celebrities

THE Irish team will be able to enjoy one of the best spas in Europe during Euro 2012.
The five-star Sheraton Hotel in Sopot -- known as the summer capital of Poland -- is the premier hotel in the region.
While cold and covered in a smattering of snow at the moment, the former fishing village is transformed when the rich and famous arrive in the town for the summer months.
Polish TV stars arrive in their Ferraris from Warsaw -- and every bar and restaurant is full.
The growing number of sushi bars and Thai restaurants in the area is proof of its diverse and wealthy clientele.
Martin Kitson of the 'In Your Pocket' guide book said that while the town was largely quiet during the year, it booms in the summer months and accommodation can be difficult to find.
The Sheraton Hotel, where the Irish team will stay, faces directly on to the beach.
Nearby is the famous promenade -- similar to Brighton Pier -- which stretches in to the sea.
The hotel spa, which opened in July 2009, is reportedly the best in Poland and yoga and aqua aerobic classes are also available. A number of trainers are permanently based at the spa and can help visitors with a fitness plan.
Despite being a five-star, the prices in the sizeable hotel are much cheaper than those at a similar hotel in Ireland.
The cheapest room without breakfast this weekend for two nights for two people would cost €200.
And the same room in peak season in August costs €266.
However, the Sheraton Hotel is fully booked from June 5 to 24.
The team are expected to stay on the Club Lounge floor, which can only be accessed by those staying on that floor.
Bars
Each guest gets a suite and has access to the club lounge, which serves food and drink throughout the day.
While there is a huge choice of bars in the area, the team might feel most comfortable in Pub Charlie, which features a golf simulator.
There is also an Irish pub in the town -- Pub Sherlock -- which serves Guinness.
