Stan Collymore had perfect response to Twitter user who questioned his support for Dundalk
Dundalk gained many fans with their heroic draw away to AZ Alkmaar last night.
Stephen Kenny's men gained a historic Europa League point - the first-ever by an Irish team - courtesy of Ciaran Kilduff's late goal in Holland.
AZ Alkaar boss John van den Brom was certainly left impressed.
“I was not surprised,” he said. “They’re not a typical British team. They try to play football. In the first half, they were better than AZ with their short combinations and they had more of the ball than us.
“The only time we were better was after the goal and against ten men.”
Former Liverpool star Stan Collymore was also left singing the praises of Stephen Kenny's men.
Collymore was actively tweeting his support for the Lilywhites during last night's match and he had the perfect response for one user who asked: "When you start supporting Dundalk. Do you even know how to get there?"
Collymore was, in fact, in Dundalk yesterday with Boylesports.
"Apart from being in Dundalk today you mean?" was Collymore's epic response, complete with a tri-colour and shamrock smiley.
Nice work, Stan.
