The speculation surrounding Gareth Bale's Real Madrid future will cool after new boss Rafa Benitez flew to Wales to meet him ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifier against Belgium tonight at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Benitez was pictured embracing the Welsh playmaker at the team hotel today ahead of the big game.
Bale had been linked with a move away from Real after enduring a difficult second season in Spain.
The 25-year-old was jeered on occasion by Real Madrid supporters who felt he was not contributing as well as he had in his debut season at the Bernabeu - when he scored in both the Copa Del Rey and Champions League finals.
Benitez's arrival may be viewed as a distraction for Bale who is earning his 50th cap for Wales tonight.
"It's a big moment for me to get my 50th cap but that all goes out the window really," Bale told FAW TV.
"We're so concentrated on the game, on trying to get the victory and a good performance that kind of goes right to the back of my mind.
"I'm just purely focused on the job in hand because we know it's going to be a very difficult game.
"We know the quality of players they've got but we've also got quality ourselves."
