Ross Barkley Focus

On the back of an impressive England performance Everton midfielder Ross Barkley was looking to maintain his form for his club against Manchester United.
Here Press Association Sport looks at how the 21-year-old fared in the 3-0 defeat.
United's dominance of midfield restricted his time on the ball, which was minimal in the first half. He enjoyed a bit more freedom in the second half as the game opened up, but never really got a handle on the game.
With Romelu Lukaku up front on his own, Steven Naismith not in the game and Aaron Lennon isolated out wide. Barkley did not have many options available. He increasingly looked to come deeper to receive and lay-off, which is not where he operates best.
He looked sluggish in his movement with none of his usual verve with the ball. He posed the greatest danger from set-piece deliveries.
A long way from his best, which was as much down to United's midfield dominance as his own performance.
