Dundalk have added another hefty cheque to their bulging bank balance following tonight's heroic draw against AZ Alkmaar in the group stages of the Europa League.

Ciaran Kilduff's late header earned the League of Ireland Premier Division champions another €120k to add to the millions they have already earned in their fairytale Euro campaign that still has at least five more matches to come.

Stephen Kenny's men have already banked over €6million to strengthen their position at the forefront of Irish football right now.

The victory over Bate Borisov, which saw the Louthmen reach the play-offs for the Champions League group stages, netted them €3million and a place in the Europa League group stages which added another €2.4 million to their bank balance.

Dundallk's coffers were already up by a healthy €700k thanks to their win over Icelandic side Hafnarfjordur.

Dundalk will receive €120k for every draw in the Europa League group stages and €360k for every win.
