Emmanuel Adebayor‘s man of the match performance today helped Spurs to victory over Southampton, though referee Chris Foy didn’t appear overly enthused by the goal celebrations.
The Togolese striker was not part of Andre Villas-Boas’ plans but three goals in Tim Sherwood’s first two games in charge would suggest he has more to offer the club than he has shown in his Tottenham career so far.
He equalised in the first half with a well-taken volley to cancel out Adam Lallana’s opening goal and was in jubilant form after scoring the winner in a pulsating second half.
His goal celebration involved a short dancing technique, which showed a bemused Foy watching on as Adebayor basked in the glory of his goal.
The pictures have been popular on social media with Foy’s reaction getting nearly the same level of attention as the goals themselves.
