Redknapp eyes Keane to save QPR from drop

Robbie Keane may be on his way back to the Premier League after QPR manager Harry Redknapp confirmed last night that he would be interested in signing Ireland's record goalscorer next month.

"Robbie's the type of lad you need in these situations," Redknapp said after QPR's 2-2 draw at Wigan, which saw them claim an unwelcome record as they have now gone 16 games without a victory, the longest winless start to a Premier League season.

Redknapp bought and sold Keane at Tottenham and he will hope that the player can turn around a club that looks doomed to relegation to the Championship.
