Rangers target Jon Toral included in Granada squad
Rangers signing target Jon Toral has been included in Granada's squad to take on Real Madrid this weekend.
On-loan Arsenal midfielder Toral has emerged as a key January target of Ibrox boss Mark Warburton, who had the midfielder on loan at Brentford two seasons ago.
But the 21-year-old has insisted he is focused on his team's visit to the Bernabeu on Saturday. Toral has been named in Granada's 18-man squad after recovering from a minor injury.
The Spanish midfielder, who spent time at the Barcelona academy before moving to Arsenal, enjoyed a successful loan spell at Birmingham last season, scoring eight goals.
But he has only made six appearances since moving to Granada on loan in August and could be tempted by the prospect of more regular football at Ibrox if Rangers can strike a deal with Arsenal and the player.
Warburton made a creative midfielder his priority for January after losing Niko Kranjcar for the season following a serious knee injury. His midfield options have also been cut by an ongoing calf problem for Jordan Rossiter and by the now departed Joey Barton's failure to integrate into the squad.
