HOW MANY GOALS WERE SCORED WHEN ROY KEANE AND

MARTIN O'NEILL MANAGED AGAINST EACH OTHER?

the paths of Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane may be inextricably linked from now on and their was precious little to separate the two in the dugout on the three occasions they met as managers.

The first of those games came in 2007 when Keane's Sunderland were denied a much-needed victory. A late goal from Shaun Maloney rescued a 1-1 draw for Aston Villa after Danny Higginbotham had put Sunderland ahead. Keane later claimed that referee Steve Bennett was "giving everything against us". However, they were not to be denied in the return game the following March as Michael Chopra's goal gave them a 1-0 win at Villa Park.

The only other meeting between the pair came as the clocked ticked down on Keane's reign as Sunderland manager when they lost 2-1 at Villa Park in late September 2008. By early December, Keane was gone.
