Who tops Monday night league?
Roberto Mancini has his sights set on winning the league title in the next two seasons although there is one (albeit imaginary) league in which they can extend their lead tonight.
The game against Blackburn this evening will be the fourth time City will have played under the Monday night lights and they remain unbeaten in their previous three with two victories and a draw while scoring seven times.
Tonight will be Blackburn's second time to play on a Monday, having drawn their first against Sunderland.
Other than City, there are four teams who have played more than once on Mondays: Fulham, Birmingham, Liverpool and Aston Villa.
Of those, Rafael Benitez's men are the only ones yet to win having lost to Villa and drawn with Birmingham.
Fifteen of the league's 20 teams have seen action on a Monday with only Arsenal, Manchester United, Bolton, Portsmouth and Wigan yet to do so.
Bolton will break their duck on February 22 when they play Blackburn who, with a win tonight and one against Bolton, could join City at the top of the table.
