Video: Ryan Giggs: Good times will return to United
AN emotional Ryan Giggs has promised Man United fans that the “good times” will return after their final home game against Hull last night.
Giggs, who was made interim manager in the wake of David Moyes’ sacking last month, promised United fans that next season would see “United return to the top”
Giggs brought himself on in place of youngster Tom Lawrence for the last 20 minutes of the 3-1 victory and spoke to fans about the season.
In what has been a hugely disappointing season for the Red Devils, Giggs said:
"We know it has been tough this season and over the years we have been spoiled with the success we have had.
"Your support this year has never changed, you have always supported the team and the staff. I'm sure in the coming years we will bring you more success.
"I would just like to say, keep supporting us, you have seen a little glimpse of the future, and this is what this club is about.
"It never stands still, we always give youth a chance and we try and play attractive football.
"Sometimes we don't win, but we give it our all. Keep supporting us and the good times will come back soon."
