Manchester United could sell £30.75m club record signing Dimitar Berbatov this month with Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and wealthy Russian club Anzhi Makhachlala keen to sign the out-of-favour striker.
Berbatov, who turns 31 on January 30, has been told by Alex Ferguson that United will trigger a one-year extension to his contract, which expires in June, before the end of the season.
But having dropped to fourth-choice forward, Berbatov is unlikely to accept another campaign of reduced involvement. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
