United boss silent as draw serves up Manchester derby

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho spoke to Sky Sports after last night's victory over Northampton - but there was no post-match press conference as United revealed they were not "contractually obliged" to have one.
Had Mourinho spoken, the first question would have sought his reaction to the draw for the League Cup last 16 which sees him face Manchester City and Pep Guardiola once again.
In a draw full of heavyweight clashes, a repeat of the Manchester derby was the pick of the ties, which also include a London derby as West Ham host Chelsea, while Liverpool will face Tottenham.
Spurs last night made light work of third-tier Gillingham, as Christian Eriksen scored twice in a 5-0 thrashing, while Hull City booked their spot in the next round after coming from behind to beat struggling Stoke City 2-1 thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Markus Henriksen and increase the pressure on Mark Hughes.
ENGLISH LEAGUE CUP - LAST 16: West Ham v Chelsea; Manchester United v Manchester City; Arsenal v Reading; Liverpool v Tottenham; Bristol City v Hull; Leeds v Norwich; Newcastle v Preston; Southampton v Sunderland.
Ties to be played in week commencing October 24
