Louis van Gaal managed to break a record on his first day in competitive action - guiding Manchester United to their first-ever opening day defeat in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

It's something even David Moyes didn't manage to do last season when he was breaking records for all the wrong reasons. Here is how Twitter reacted to today's season opener.
