One Dublin football fan rode his luck last night and ended up scooping a huge payout.

Paddy Power has revealed that one customer, who had €132,000 riding on Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace, turned down a €32,000 cashout option and opted to roll the dice. He needed Sam Allardyce's side to record their first league win of his reign, and goals from Scott Dann and Christian Benteke ensured that the punter was rewarded for his bravery.

The bettor won two accumulators, with stakes of €10 and €20, and both had Palace as the deciding selection.

He needed a lot of luck to get his other choices over the line, including:

A 90th minute leveller from Monaco’s Bernardo Silva at PSG to secure a draw.

A two-goal comeback from Sampdoria who won 3-2 at home to Roma.

He needed a three-goal revival from Borussia Monchengladbach – who scored three times in the second half to claim a 3-2 victory at Bayer Leverkusen having been 2-0 as early as the 34th minute.

Chievo’s Roberto Inglese netted the winner in the 90th minute away at Lazio.

He even had Barcelona in one of his bets, and they drew 1-1 with Betis, but after having a perfectly good goal disallowed because there’s no goal-line technology in La Liga, Paddy Power decided to pay out on Barca as winners anyway.

“The stones on that man!," a Paddy Power spokesman said.

"Not only did he have two accas rammed with underdogs but to hold firm when there’s a massive cash-out on the table shows extraordinary faith. Landing one accumulator of this size is one hell of an achievement but two in a weekend is something that we’ve never seen before and he’s definitely earned his place in our Punting Hall of Fame.”
