Spurs hitch for Parker

Scott Parker's move from West Ham United remained in the balance last night with Tottenham believed to have changed the terms of the proposed transfer.
One source close to the deal rated the chances of the midfielder moving to Spurs as still no more than "50/50".
It still seems likely that he will join Spurs but a hitch emerged on Sunday evening. West Ham have been demanding £8m for Parker all summer but have been willing to negotiate over the fee, with Spurs having offered £6m and a player also going to Upton Park on loan for the season. That player was thought to be Jake Livermore.
However, it now appears that Spurs want to send a different player on loan to West Ham, or simply do a straight cash deal.
Harry Redknapp has also not given up hope of acquiring Lassana Diarra, while Wilson Palacios has undergone a medical at Stoke ahead of his £6m move. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
