Setanta Sports launched its Premier League coverage today with an offer of just €1 for new subscribers.

BT Sport pundits David Ginola and David James were in Dublin today to promote Setanta Sport’s coverage for the coming season which will cover 71 live Barclays Premier League games.

Subscribers to the Setanta Sports Pack which includes Setanta Ireland, Setanta Sports 1, BT Sport 1, BT Sport and ESPN, can join for just €1.

“We are delighted to be bringing top class Barclays Premier League action to Setanta Sports subscribers for the start of the 2014/’15 season,” Brian Quinn, Marketing Operations Director at Setanta Sports said.

“It is great to be in a position to offer all of these first class games to soccer fans in Ireland for as little as €1 a month.”

In August 2013, Setanta Sports announced a deal with BT to add BT Sport channels including ESPN into the Setanta Sports pack. The deal means that Setanta Sports subscribers in the Republic of Ireland receive BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN channels as well as Setanta Ireland and Setanta Sports 1.  BT Sport will also be showing 35 live European Rugby Champions Cup Games live from October onwards. This tournament replaces the former Heineken Cup.
