Kasper Schmeichel played for almost an hour with a fractured hand in Leicester's heroic draw with Copenhagen on Wednesday and is facing at least a month out of action, writes John Percy.

Schmeichel, whose stunning save in added time enabled Leicester to secure their fourth successive clean sheet in the Champions League, suffered the injury during the first half of the 0-0 stalemate.

The incident is understood to have happened when Schmeichel came off his goal-line to punch a cross clear midway through the first half and it was only after the game that the 29-year-old began to experience pain. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
