Schmeichel, whose stunning save in added time enabled Leicester to secure their fourth successive clean sheet in the Champions League, suffered the injury during the first half of the 0-0 stalemate.

The incident is understood to have happened when Schmeichel came off his goal-line to punch a cross clear midway through the first half and it was only after the game that the 29-year-old began to experience pain. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
