Pope Dougal and President Keane: 10 bonkers bets that were more likely than a Leicester title win

With Leicester on the verge of completing football's most remarkable journey, it is worth remembering once again just how truly unlikely their Premier League title win would be.
After barely surviving in the top flight last year, the Foxes were tipped by most to struggle again this season and could be backed with some bookies at 5000/1 to win the league.
Against the odds, they will now be crowned champions if Spurs fail to win tonight away to Chelsea or if they take two points from their final two games.
If they win English's football's biggest prize, they will have come in at astronomical odds, which are even more startling when you see some of the bonkers bets that are somehow priced even shorter than Leicester's title win was.
Here are ten of the more ridiculous things that were priced shorter than 5000/1:
Roy Keane to be the next Irish President - 200/1
There is no doubt that Keane is a popular figure in this country, but we still reckon he won't make it into the Aras any time soon.
Andy Murray's daughter to win more Grand Slams than Serena Williams - 500/1
Two month old Sophia Olivia only needs 22 major titles for you to cash in here.
Podge and Rodge to be the next Late Late Show host - 250/1
If Dustin can go to the Eurovision then there is no reason why these foul-mouthed puppets can't host Ireland's biggest talk show.
Father Dougal McGuire to be the next Pope - 500/1
Not Ardal O'Hanlon. There are actually odds on Dougal to emerge victorious from a Papal Conclave.
Ireland to win Euro 2016 - 125/1
You are buying money with this one, really.
Wicklow/London/Carlow/Waterford to win the All-Ireland football title - 2000/1
This would be the GAA version of Leicester winning the Premier League.
Danny Willett to win all four majors in 2016 - 500/1
Think positive - you've one in the bag already.
Italy to win the 2019 Rugby World Cup - 500/1
Conor O'Shea will have had a few years to put structures in place by 2019, so you could be getting on the bandwagon at the right time.
Piers Morgan to be the next Arsenal manager - 500/1
He probably thinks he would do a good job too.
Leicester to win the Champions League - 100/1
Surprised this isn't higher, actually.
