One of Liverpool's most colourful former strikers recently performed for Mariah Carey
With the outrageous hairstyles and innumerable tattoos, Djibril Cissé always looked a little out of place, even among 21st century footballers, but he certainly fits the bill for his new career choice
Djibril Cissé is likely to be remembered more on Merseyside for eminently loud clothing than goals scored in the comparably tame red of Liverpool.
Yet, to be fair, he found the net 24 times over two seasons, including an invaluable penalty on that famous night in Istanbul when Liverpool defeated the then mighty AC Milan to clinch the 2005 Champions League.
The former French international played for 11 clubs over the course of a near 18-year professional career, which he called time on last October.
Obviously not content to sit back and enjoy the fruits of his labour, the 34-year-old is now trying his hand at a vastly different profession but, already, he’s rubbing shoulders with seriously famous individuals.
Cissé is now a DJ, and recently found himself performing for none other than Mariah Carey in Paris. Naturally, he took to Tiwtter to share this little nugget.
