BBC’s Match of the Day returns to our TV screens this weekend and the opening episode of the new Premier League season promises to capture the headlines for unique reasons - with host Gary Lineker promising to take to the screen wearing nothing but his pants.
Former Leicester striker Lineker vowed to present the show with limited clothing if his former club defied the odds and won the Premier League title, with that promise now set to come back to haunt him. Now the BBC have posted a message that suggests their star employee is preparing to deliver on that promise, after they offered up this cheeky tweet.
YES! If Leicester win the @premierleague I'll do the first MOTD of next season in just my undies.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) 14 December 2015
Lineker’s latest Instagram post suggests he has been getting in some serious training for his evening wearing less than he might like, with the 55-year-old former England captain looking in great shape as he prepares for one of the most eagerly anticipated appearances of his broadcasting career.
While the football normally takes centre stage when that famous Match of the Day music strikes up, more than a few viewers will be tuning in this week to check out the main man's new look.
