Reports: Ryan Giggs to meet Jose Mourinho this week to determine his Man United future

Ryan Giggs will sit down with new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to establish whether or not he has a future at the club.
Amid this latest period of flux at Old Trafford, Giggs’ 29-year association with the club is once again uncertain.
Of course, the 42-year-old has been the assistant to United’s two previous managers, David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, both of whom were sacked in the most unsavoury manner following underwhelming tenures.
It’s no secret that Giggs had thought or more accurately, hoped, that he would succeed both men, but on each occasion the United board have overlooked him, despite strong endorsements from former players and Sir Alex Ferguson.
With Mourinho said to be bringing his long-time backroom staff to Manchester, it’s unclear what kind of role Giggs can expect to be given under the third administration in three years.
The Welshman had a considerable remit under Van Gaal, but it’s yet to be known how Mournho plans to utilise him.
According to reports in the Daily Mail, Giggs is currently holidaying in Dubai but will return imminently for talks with Woodward and Mourinho this week and it is thought that the club hopes he stays.
