Paul Pogba has chosen to mark his imminent return to Manchester United's starting line-up with another outlandish new haircut.

The Frenchman should make his second Premier League debut for Manchester United on Friday in the club's game with Southampton at Old Trafford.

Pogba completed his drawn out move to Manchester United for a world record fee of £89m before the start of the Premier League season.

The 23-year-old was thought to be in contention for starting United's season opener against Bournemouth but the former Juventus midfielder was forced to serve a one-match ban carried over from his time in Serie A.

With Pogba expected to be play some part in United's first home game of the season, the France international has adopted an appropriate hair style for the occasion.

Pogba posted his new hairdoo to Instagram with the caption: "New hair, new jersey, new season #Pogback.'

The new United midfielder has become renowned for his audacious hairstyles. regularly updating his 7.4 million Instagram followers with the latest design.

Pogba showed off a new dyed-red lid with a lightning bolt etched into the side of his head.

Despite the absence of Pogba, Manchester United begun life in the Premier League under Jose Mourinho with a convincing 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday.

Fellow new recruit Zlatan Ibrahimovic marked his first Premier League start with a goal but afterwards admitted his first league game in England was difficult.

“I found it was a good game, not easy, the first half was hard," said Ibrahimovic.

“I always try to create some chances, help my teammates, whoever scored today was not important. Only get the win to start the Premier League well. It was good, very good. I feel alive.”
