Antoine Griezmann has confirmed for the first time that he is ready to leave Atletico Madrid, with the Manchester United transfer target suggesting he has a few options on the table as he considers his future.

Griezmann stated on Monday that he would decide on his future in the next two weeks, as he hinted that a move to United was possible amid suggestions that the Old Trafford club are preparing to trigger his €100m release clause.

Griezmann suggested there was a six out of ten chance that he could move to United, with his desire to play in the Champions League affecting his future plans.

United will look to secure their place in next season’s Champions League by winning the Europa League final against Ajax on Wednesday night and it seems increasingly likely that Griezmann is waiting on the outcome of that match before declaring his intentions.

“Today if I have to move it will be no problem,” he confirmed, in quotes appearing in French publication L’Equipe.

“It may be England because it is fashionable, Germany, China and the United States. I’m ready to go.”

Griezmann hinted he is ready to leave Atletico Madrid after becoming frustrated with their status as the nearly men of European football, as he hinted he wanted to join a club that will win trophies.

“With Atletico it remains on a final and a semi-final of the Champions League, we’re close, but we lack something,” he added.

“I love football and I want to win trophies. I want to live these strong emotions. This time I want to taste this.

“I want to win trophies. Playing a good game and scoring goals is not enough anymore. That’s it. Winning titles is what I will look for this summer when deciding on my future.”

After months of avoiding discussions over his future, it is clear that Griezmann is now eager to seal a move away from Atletico Madrid in the next few days and if United after confirmed as Champions League competitors for next season, they could unlock the door to signing their top transfer target.
