Man City set to confirm the first big signing of the Pep Guardiola era

Manchester City are close to announcing the transfer of midfielder Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.
The German will miss Euro 2016 after dislocating his knee towards the end of the season and it is not known whether or not the highly rated star will be fit for the start of the forthcoming campaign.
However, the BBC are reporting that Pep Guardiola is on the verge of making the central midfielder the first major signing of his reign in Manchester regardless, just a week after his old enemy Jose Mourinho was announced as manager of cross-city rivals Manchester United.
The reported fee is £20m.
Guardiola is expected to make a number of changes to his new squad after City suffered a disappointing end to the season, barely clinging onto a place in the top four and meekly exiting the Champions League to Real Madrid at the quarter-final stage.
