Long's injury issues a worry for Trapattoni

SHANE LONG came off the bench to score from the penalty spot for West Brom at the Hawthorns, but the Ireland striker is still a long way from full fitness.
The Tipperary man suffered with back problems during his time with Reading and the issue hasn't gone away.
Long needed a pain-killing injection to play against Everton on New Year's Day and he missed the clash at Spurs two days later as well as last weekend's FA Cup tie with Cardiff City.
"Shane is a good player but at the moment he has a problem that we are managing," said Baggies manager Roy Hodgson.
Long, meanwhile, revealed he can't train "for half the week" -- an admission that will surely concern Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni.
Saturday's setback was West Brom's third straight loss in the league and seventh at home this season, during which they have managed to score just eight goals.
Andrew Surman volleyed Norwich ahead just before the break.
Long equalised on 68 minutes, but it was not enough to salvage a point as a Canaries breakaway 11 minutes from time saw Steve Morison nod in the winner from a Grant Holt cross.
