Raheem Sterling has angered Liverpool fans further after being allegedly caught smoking a shisha pipe.
The Liverpool midfielder, who was heckled at the unveiling of Liverpool’s new home kit by fans earlier this week for refusing to commit his future to the club, is seen inhaling on a pipe during a night out with friends.
The picture has been shared on social media and has led to a number of fans venting their annoyance.
It is claimed that smoking a shisha pipe could be equivalent to smoking up to 200 cigarettes.
Alongside the image of Sterling, dressed in a white T-shirt with grey tracksuit trousers was the message "1 down, 3 to go". It is thought the message allegedly referred to how the group had more pipes to smoke.
It is the latest controversy to hit the England star after he was heckled by fans at the launch of their new kit.
Sterling was one of the Liverpool players modelling the strip in front of 500 supporters at a launch ceremony at Anfield and was on the wrong end of a pointed quip from a supporter regarding his contract impasse.
