Liverpool fixtures 2016/17: Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester and Chelsea among opening five games

Liverpool start their season with the stand-out fixture of the opening weekend of the 2016/17 Premier League when they play Arsenal at the Emirates.

Jurgen Klopp, taking charge of his first full season at Anfield, will be looking to mastermind an improvement on their disappointing eighth-place finish last season. However he faces an incredible tough start. A home game against Burnley follows the opening match before games against Tottenham, champions Leicester and then Chelsea.

Here are some of the highlights from Liverpool’s fixture list to look out for:

First game
