Few players outside the Premier League have a better idea of where the title race will be won and lost as Robert Lewandowski.

The prolific Bayern Munich striker has never played in England but he does have firsthand experience of working under two of the managers who have high hopes of delivering league glory to their clubs.

The Polish star played under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund before joining Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich, but it looks like Lewandowski is tipping the Reds in the league title race this season.

Liverpool are just two points behind City at the top of the table after winning in Swansea at the weekend while Guardiola's men lost their 100% after a 2-0 loss to Spurs at White Hart Lane.

And speaking to Goal, Lewandowski thinks the Klopp factor could be decisive in bringing the title to Anfield for the first time since 1990.

"Under Klopp I think they will be fighting for the title this season," he said.

"Pep and Manchester City will not make it easy for anybody to win the title, but Liverpool have a real chance.

“Without European football it can really help them with being fresh for games and with injuries and, even though Klopp is always smiling, he is ruthless enough to take advantage of that.

“I have watched some Liverpool games since the arrival of Klopp, and you can see that the players are enjoying playing for him."
