Jose Mourinho was bullish on Man United's title chances after bringing in a quartet of high profile signings, and after the Red Devils' second straight Premier League victory last night, the Old Trafford outfit are quickly convincing a few others.

BT Sport pundit Michael Owen was very impressed with United's 2-0 victory against Southampton last night, with the former striker reserving praise for world record signing Paul Pogba.

"It looked good on paper and it looks good on grass too," Owen tweeted after the game.

"Pogba class. The Premier League title is heading to the North West this season."

While Owen's prediction of the title heading to the 'north west' was vague given Man City and Liverpool also play there, Reds supporters were quick to turn on their former icon.

Given that Owen was recently appointed as a Liverpool ambassador, fans of the Anfield club were doubly offended that the BT Sport pundit appeared to back United to take home the Premier League trophy.

The responses under his tweet - most of which contain language that is unpublishable - were pretty funny.
